Volleyball Recap: Alhambra Comes Up Short

Alhambra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Schurr Spartans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Alhambra took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-19.

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Schurr, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-18 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alhambra is set to square off against their familiar foe Montebello at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Schurr will face off against rival Bell Gardens at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
