Basketball Recap: Leesville Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Leesville walked away with it. They came out on top against the Booker T. Washington Lions by a score of 57-50 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wampus Cats.

It was another big night for Shyann McCummings, who posted 23 points. The match was her fifth in a row with at least 19 points. Piper Fowler was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Leesville's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10-1.

Looking ahead, Leesville will head out on the road to challenge Vandebilt Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vandebilt Catholic will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Leesville surely won't give up without a fight. Booker T. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
