Volleyball Recap: Seymour Takes a Loss

If Seymour was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jeffersonville on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Owls lost 3-0 to the Columbus North Bull Dogs on Tuesday. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bull Dogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Seymour was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-21.

Defeat or not, Seymour got some senior leadership from Jamie Bobb and Norah Campbell. Bobb had 16 digs, while Campbell had 13 digs and two aces. Campbell has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Seymour has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Madison on the 23rd. As for Columbus North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Shelbyville on the 21st.
