Wellesley owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Wayland Warriors. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Wellesley's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Wayland, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellesley will venture away from home to face off against Framingham at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayland, they will square off against Westford Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
