Recap: East Leopards vs. Alta Hawks
The East Leopards's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their tough 74-53 loss to Alta might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Alta is ranked first).
Alta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Doleac, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jaxon Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds.
East has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Alta, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Skyline the next time they take the court. Alta will head out to face Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while East will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
