Softball Game Preview: Oconto Falls Panthers vs. Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes

The Oconto Falls Panthers will head out to face off against the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Oconto Falls' last matchup with Denmark could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 12-3 to the Vikings. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Fox Valley Lutheran put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Clintonville by a score of 7-3.

Brianna Dahlke made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Dahlke was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Claire Pfrang was incredible, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Nora Probst was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fox Valley Lutheran pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Oconto Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
