Basketball Recap: Front Range Christian Falcons vs. Denver Christian Thunder
This season hasn't been kind to the Front Range Christian Falcons, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They were outmatched by Denver Christian at home and fell 99-27. While losing is never fun, Front Range Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Thunder are ranked 87th).
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Martin, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martin has scored all season. Haedan Morton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Front Range Christian dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Denver Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Christian will challenge the Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Machebeuf has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 985 points over their last 13 games. Denver Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Dawson School is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
