Volleyball Recap: Taylor's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Taylor proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Roger Bacon Spartans 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Taylor wouldn't go down easily and took Roger Bacon into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 27-25, 24-26, 21-25, 15-10.

Leading Taylor to victory were Madalyn Trimpe and Kylie Stutzman. Trimpe had nine digs and four assists, while Stutzman had 29 digs and 27 kills. Stutzman is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least seven every time she's taken the court this season.

Taylor's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Roger Bacon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Taylor will take on Mercy McAuley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Roger Bacon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
