Skyview had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Moscow Bears 5-4 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Ledger Downs made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Downs wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was John Tyson, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Tyson has posted since back in April.
Skyview's record is now 19-6-1. As for Moscow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-12.
