Volleyball Recap: Altamont Wins Going Away Against Bryce Valley

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Altamont had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Bryce Valley Mustangs 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Altamont was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-11.

Chezney Bywater was nothing short of spectacular: she had nine digs and eight aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

Bywater wasn't the only good servers: Altamont was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. The Longhorns are 9-4 when they serve at least ten aces.

Altamont's victory bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Bryce Valley, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Coming up, Altamont will take on Tabiona at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Bryce Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
