Basketball Recap: Moapa Valley Victorious

Moapa Valley won the last time they faced Cristo Rey St. Viator, and Bryson Walker did his part to make sure it happened again. The Moapa Valley Pirates took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-29 win over the Cristo Rey St. Viator Royals thanks in part to Walker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. His evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Chase Neilson was another key player, putting up ten points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Moapa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Cristo Rey St. Viator, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Moapa Valley will be playing at home against Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Moapa Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season. As for Cristo Rey St. Viator, they are taking a road trip to square off against Moapa Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
