South Pontotoc is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Senatobia. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Kosciusko was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 30-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Caledonia. The game marked the Whippets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

South Pontotoc's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Kosciusko, their loss dropped their record down to 20-8.

Everything came up roses for South Pontotoc against Kosciusko when the teams last played back in December of 2018, as the team secured a 72-33 victory. Will South Pontotoc repeat their success, or does Kosciusko have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
