Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Wins Going Away Against Marian Catholic

Tri-Valley won the last time they faced Marian Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Marian Catholic. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by ten runs or more this season.

Tri-Valley got a massive performance out of Savanah Stiely, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Stiely a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Myah Schwalm, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tri-Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Tri-Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Marian Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Tri-Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marian Catholic, they are taking a road trip to square off against Nativity BVM at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
