Football Game Preview: Citrus Hurricanes vs. Weeki Wachee Hornets

The Citrus Hurricanes will face off against the Weeki Wachee Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Citrus 8.8, Weeki Wachee 9.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Citrus headed into their last match having not scored more than 13 points for five straight, but Seffner Christian let them put that streak behind them. The Hurricanes took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 38-7 victory over the Crusaders. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Weeki Wachee's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Lecanto, falling 32-7.

Weeki Wachee's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Citrus, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Citrus didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Weeki Wachee when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 6-0 victory. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
