Baseball Recap: La Junta Has No Trouble Against Colorado Springs Christian

23 must be La Junta's lucky number: they beat Colorado Springs Christian with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Tigers blew past the Lions 23-1. That 22 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Treyce Lovato made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April.
