Basketball Game Preview: Hobbton Wildcats vs. Rosewood Eagles

Hobbton is 2-8 against Rosewood since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hobbton Wildcats will head out to square off against the Rosewood Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hobbton is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 49-23 loss courtesy of Princeton.

Hobbton's loss came about despite a quality game from Katie Britt, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Rosewood played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by East Duplin and fell 51-10. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rosewood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hobbton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Hobbton was taken down by Rosewood 51-17 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Hobbton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
