Basketball Recap: International Community Piles Up the Points Against Real Life Christian Academy

There's no place like home for International Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 69-29 victory over the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors. The game marked the Comets' most dominant win of the season so far.

International Community was led to victory by Paxton Boaz and Slade Woodruff. Boaz went 8 for 17 on his way to 24 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals, while Woodruff dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. Boaz's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarie Lyce, who posted ten points.

Loss or not, Real Life Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Manny Almonte and Donovan Sepulveda. Almonte dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds, while Sepulveda put up six points and five assists.

International Community's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Real Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

International Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-60 win against Trinity Christian Academy on the 5th. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-44 victory against Hernando Christian Academy on the 10th.
