Recap: Brunswick Pirates vs. Effingham County Rebels
A well-balanced attack led the Brunswick Pirates over the Effingham County Rebels in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Brunswick put the hurt on Effingham County with a sharp 64-41 win. That's two games straight that Brunswick has won by exactly 23 points.
Brunswick got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Butler out in front who scored 18 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Butler hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Poole, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Brunswick is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season. As for Effingham County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.
Brunswick will face off against Grovetown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive. Effingham County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
