Volleyball Recap: Harvard Comes Up Short

Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hiawatha Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Harvard started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 26-24.

Harvard's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Hiawatha, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

Coming up, Harvard will face off against Richmond-Burton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hiawatha, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Trinity Oaks Christian Academy on the 30th.
