Softball Recap: Portage Comes Up Short

Portage lost against West Shamokin back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Portage Mustangs lost 12-2 to the West Shamokin Wolves.

Portage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Stancovich, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Portage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Shamokin, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Portage will host Marion Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Shamokin, they will challenge Armstrong at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
