Football Recap: Momence Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Momence's offense. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Momence Athletics in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Erick Castillo threw for 70 yards on seven of 23 attempts. Eddie Ferreira was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.

Momence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Momence will take on rival Watseka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin is set to challenge their familiar foe Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
