Football Recap: Momence Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Momence's offense. They were beaten by the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils 49-0 on Friday. The Momence Athletics haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Erick Castillo threw for 70 yards on seven of 23 attempts. Eddie Ferreira was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.

Momence's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Momence will take on Watseka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will face off against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
