Hawkins had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They breezed by the Harleton Wildcats to the tune of 86-21. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Hawkins' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Givens, who went 7 of 12 en route to 18 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. Givens is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Snider, who made all 8 shots he took to post 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Hawkins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Hawkins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season. As for Harleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-21.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Big Sandy the next time they take the court. Hawkins will head out to face Big Sandy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Harleton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
