Hoxie won the last time they faced Wheatland-Grinnell and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Thunderhawks 2-1.

Hoxie had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Hoxie's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hoxie and Wheatland-Grinnell will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Indians are set to take on their familiar foe Hill City on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wheatland-Grinnell will face off against rival Northern Valley on Tuesday.
