Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Starts Season with Win Against Hardaway

Calvary Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 59-54 W over the Hardaway Hawks on Monday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 57-48 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Calvary Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Hosten, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Hosten has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ke'Shawn Hall, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Hardaway is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Calvary Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-44 win against LaGrange Academy on the 14th. As for Hardaway, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-27 defeat against Smiths Station on the 14th.
