Soccer Recap: Appling County Triumphs

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Appling County brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the Cook Hornets get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday. Considering the Pirates' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Appling County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Cook, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Appling County will head out to face off against Toombs County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westover at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
