Basketball Game Preview: Wenatchee Panthers vs. West Valley Rams

Wenatchee is 0-10 against West Valley since February of 2020 but things could change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 4:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played.

Wenatchee is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were beaten by Eisenhower 54-22. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Cadets are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, everything went West Valley's way against Sunnyside on Friday as West Valley made off with a 50-29 win. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

West Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points over those games. As for Wenatchee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.
