Volleyball Recap: Weber Warriors vs. Copper Hills Grizzlies

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Weber had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Copper Hills Grizzlies 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Weber got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-27, 25-18.

Weber was led to victory by Scarlett Smith and Maddie Zabriskie. Smith had five digs and two aces, while Zabriskie had seven digs and ten assists. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last five games she's played.

Despite the loss, Copper Hills still got an impressive performance from Alondra Zambrano, who had 19 digs.

The victory got Weber back to even at 16-16. As for Copper Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 15-17.

As of now, neither Weber nor Copper Hills have any future games scheduled.
