Basketball Recap: Life Prep Beats Manhattan for Their Third Straight Victory

Life Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Manhattan Indians 65-43. The Fire have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Life Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcian Pickstock out in front who went 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Pickstock has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Rolle, Jr, who shot 58% from the field en route to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Life Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Life Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Life Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Boonville at 2:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Manhattan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Salina Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
