Sunnyside has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only one run in their last match, Sunnyside made sure to put some runs up on the board against Madera South on Tuesday. Everything went Sunnyside's way against Madera South as Sunnyside made off with a 15-5 victory. Sunnyside's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Isabella Cardenas made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Cardenas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Adrianna Morales was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Raeyah Lopez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
