Volleyball Game Preview: Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs vs. Garner Trojans

The Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Garner Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

While Bulldogs fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They blew past Wilmington Christian Academy 3-0 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-16.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had nine digs and six aces.

Wake Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Meanwhile, Garner got the win against South Johnston on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

Everything went Wake Christian Academy's way against Garner in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Wake Christian Academy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
