Zach Luz leads Mt. Rainier to victory over Decatur

Recap: Mt. Rainier Rams vs. Decatur Golden Gators
The Mt. Rainier Rams's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Decatur by a score of 62-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mt. Rainier also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Zach Luz, who scored 38 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The game was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rylan Keane, who scored 13 points.
Mt. Rainier now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Decatur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Rainier will stay at home for another game and welcome Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Tahoma knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Mt. Rainier likes a good challenge. As for Decatur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
