Volleyball Recap: Wakefield Memorial Comes Up Short

Wakefield Memorial lost against Burlington back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Red Devils. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Wakefield Memorial was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Burlington's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

Wakefield Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Burlington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Coming up, Wakefield Memorial will challenge Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Burlington, they will square off against Arlington at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
