Softball Recap: Frankfort Hot Dogs vs. Danville Warriors
Frankfort extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 40 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-22 in the process. They lost 12-0 to the Danville Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in April.
As for Danville, their win bumped their record up to 15-9. Considering they have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
For Danville's part, Autumn Muncy looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Danville let Addison Davis and Allie Gunter run wild. Davis went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Gunter went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Davis has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Armstrong, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.
As of now, neither Frankfort nor Danville have any future games scheduled.
