Baseball Recap: Los Altos Gets the Win

Los Altos's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the San Dimas Saints 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Conquerors: when they faced off against the Saints last Wednesday, they had to take a 9-1 defeat.

Carlos Montes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nathan Barrera, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Los Altos' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6-1. As for San Dimas, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Los Altos wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Alta Loma on the 31st. As for San Dimas, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Canyon on the 29th.
