Baseball Recap: Pine Forest Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Pine Forest owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Overhills Jaguars. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won four in a row.

Ryan Temple and Ja'Lynn Thomas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Temple struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Thomas didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Temple has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. At bat, Temple scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Thomas went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, J.J. Watson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Landen Thompson was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pine Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in seven consecutive matches.
