Football Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monte Vista and West Hills pushed the score to 42-21 the last time they played West Hills, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Monarchs were just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to the Wolf Pack. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolf Pack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

West Hills can attribute much of their success to Evin Dill, who rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 149 yards on nine of 15 attempts.

This is the second loss in a row for Monte Vista and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for West Hills, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Monte Vista has already played their next matchup, a 27-0 victory against El Cajon Valley on the 10th. As for West Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-7 win against Valhalla on the 10th.
