Baseball Recap: Quakertown Comes Up Short

Quakertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Souderton Indians. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Indians when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Quakertown saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Reich, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Reich has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is 5-1-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

Quakertown's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Souderton, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

Quakertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Souderton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
