Baseball Recap: Lowell Takes a Loss

Lowell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Hobart Brickies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Brickies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-7 on Monday.

Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15-1. As for Hobart, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11.

Lowell and Hobart should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Red Devils (ranked 132nd) will meet Hammond Morton (ranked 313th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hobart will square off against Whiting at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (105 vs. 354).
