Rogers is 0-10 against Pullman since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Greyhounds at 2:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Rogers barely beat East Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Jackson Ables and Jacob Proctor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Ables pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Proctor didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Ables also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rogers is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-7 otherwise. At the plate, Ables scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances, while Proctor got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave Proctor a new career-high.
In other batting news, Graysen Milsom and Lucas Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Milsom scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Hernandez scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Hernandez also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Logenn Storer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Rogers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Valley only posted an OBP of .290.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pullman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Deer Park on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Rogers' win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for Pullman, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Rogers might still be hurting after the 9-2 defeat they got from Pullman in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
