Baseball Preview: Dumont Huskies vs. Ramsey Rams

Dumont is 0-10 against Ramsey since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Rams at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Dumont didn't have quite enough to beat Ridgefield Park and fell 5-4. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luke Sobek was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Ryan Mckenna was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Ramsey fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Westwood on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 7-6.

Ramsey got a big performance out of Nate Mclaughlin, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Roberto Cotes, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
