Softball Recap: Clay County Tigers vs. Lynn Camp Wildcats

Clay County was the 11-0 winner over Lynn Camp when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Clay County Tigers fell 6-1 to the Lynn Camp Wildcats on Friday. Clay County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abby Bowling was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Bowling was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Bowling wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Presley Griffin, who went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run.

Clay County now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Lynn Camp, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
