Baseball Recap: White Deer Comes Up Short

White Deer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-4 to the Follett Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 last Monday.

Maddox Bowers was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Foster Black was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

White Deer's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Follett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. White Deer will head out to face off against Booker at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Follett, they will venture away from home to take on Boys Ranch at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
