Football Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Comes Up Short

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo is still winless after their matchup against Edinburg on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bobcats. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Although Pharr-San Juan-Alamo took the loss, they still got scores from Ramze Arroyo and D'angel De La Rosa.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Edinburg, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will face off against Economedes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Edinburg, they will square off against La Joya at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. The Bobcats will be up against the Coyotes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
