Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Hannan Hawks vs. Lakeshore

The Archbishop Hannan Hawks will face off against Lakeshore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Archbishop Hannan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

Archbishop Hannan is returning to their home court after beating Pearl River on theirs, despite the fact Pearl River has dominated at home this season. Archbishop Hannan breezed by Pearl River to the tune of 65-29 on Friday. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Lakeshore has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Franklinton.

Lakeshore's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 20-10. As for Archbishop Hannan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Archbishop Hannan and Lakeshore were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but Archbishop Hannan came up empty-handed after a 47-46 loss.
