Baseball Recap: Bad Axe Comes Up Short

Bad Axe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ubly Bearcats, falling 17-0. If the Hatchets were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bad Axe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Champagne, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Bad Axe's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ubly, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Bad Axe will welcome Reese at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ubly, they will take on Capac at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bearcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
