Recap: Fredonia Yellowjackets vs. Anderson County Bulldogs
The Fredonia Yellowjackets lost against the Anderson County Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fredonia was outmatched by Anderson County on the road and fell 71-43. Fredonia has struggled against Anderson County recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Fredonia's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zoey Sims, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Campbell Odell who scored two points along with seven steals. The contest was Sims' seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Fredonia now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Anderson County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Fredonia and Eureka will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Anderson County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wellsville at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Wellsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Anderson County is ranked 95th).
