Basketball Game Preview: Union Cougars vs. Richfield Wildcats

Union is 0-3 against Richfield since December of 2016 but things could change on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars face off against the Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. Union will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Union is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Grantsville by a score of 58-48. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly ten points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Richfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Carbon with a sharp 61-41 win on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Dinos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Richfield's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. As for Union, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.

Union came up short against Richfield in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 58-49. Can Union avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
