Basketball Recap: Jayden Harrison Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Albans, Parkside was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans 81-58. The Eagles pushed the score to 58-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans had little chance of recovering from.

Parkside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Harrison, who posted 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daiquan Smith, who had 17 points.

Parkside moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkside will be home for the holidays to greet Georgetown Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, they will welcome Avalon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
