Soccer Game Preview: Campolindo vs. Ygnacio Valley

The Campolindo Cougars and the Ygnacio Valley Wolves will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Friday, Campolindo sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Stuart Hall. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, while Ygnacio Valley scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. They and Dougherty Valley finished up their game with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Wolves' first draw of the season.

Alexander Villarce and Alan Garcia scored both of Ygnacio Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Campolindo pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. With that draw, Ygnacio Valley's record moves to 1-2-1.

Everything went Campolindo's way against Ygnacio Valley in their previous matchup back in February, as Campolindo made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Campolindo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ygnacio Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
